Sunshine House was founded by Karen Ferris Cole in 1990.

A graduate of Queens University, Belfast, Karen came to Hong Kong in 1987, where she studied Early Childhood Education at the Hong Kong Polytechnic.

With six children of her own, Karen recognised the importance and value of professional, well structured and educational pre-school care for children in their formative growing years.

Out of this passion to develop and provide the best care for young children, Sunshine House was born.

Built around the philosophy “for the love of children”, Sunshine House is committed to providing a vibrant, nurturing, learning environment, to give children the very best start in life.

We hope you enjoy reading this Handbook – it contains all the relevant information you’ll need.  However, if you do have any questions we’d love to hear from you.  Sunshine House has eight schools, so please call the one closest to you.
